Joe Fader, has anybody got a copy of that letter. I remember it well and was the odd one out as I was the only one in the cong who voted against signing over the property.

How many are PIMO ??
by Phizzy ini know we cannot answer this, how many are physically in, mentally out (pimo), but i heard an amazing piece of news the other day.. an ex-p.o and ex-elder, a long time regular pioneer, and when i knew him a stalwart believer, went for a drink with another jw who has actually left, but is not df or anything.. in the course of conversation he came out with this bombshell "well, i am actually an atheist now, i just go along to keep my wife happy".. i also heard of a number of youngsters that i know personally who are simply living their life as they want, whilst making sure they don't get df'd for family and social reasons.. if as it seems the pimo's are a huge number, could there be a huge " awakening" where they all realize they are in a huge group, and they all say " eff it, lets call it a day on all the jw s**t ".
?.
wishful thinking, but.....just possible ?.

Top post award goes to Wake me up....
"If dissenters are punished, and can anticipate they're going to be punished, then you might have a situation where no one actually believes something, but everyone believes that everyone else believes it. Therefore, no one is willing to be the little boy that says the emperor is naked."
The only problem with trying to share reasoning like with someone we are trying to rescue is that generally they are so culturally bereft that they have no idea what you are talking about when you use the no clothes illustration.

ECHR Rules Against Free Speech
by cofty inthe european court of human rights ruled against an austrian woman who claimed calling the prophet muhammad a pedophile was protected by free speech.
... the woman in 2009 held two seminars entitled "basic information on islam," during which she likened muhammad's marriage to a six-year-old girl, aisha, to pedophilia.. the marriage according to islamic tradition was consummated when aisha was nine and muhammad was around 50. aisha was the daughter of muhammad's best friend and the first caliph, abu bakr.. the court cited the austrian women stating during the seminar that muhammad "liked to do it with children" and "... a 56-year-old and a six-year-old?
... what do we call it, if it is not pedophilia?".

I recently finished reading Robert Spencers new book -
The History of Jihad: From Muhammad to ISIS.
Spencer briskly traces the 1,400-year war of Islamic jihadis against the rest of the world, detailing the jihad against Europe, including the 700-year struggle to conquer Constantinople; the jihad in Spain, where non-Muslims fought for another 700 years to get the jihadi invaders out of the country; and the jihad against India, where Muslim warriors and conquerors wrought unparalleled and unfathomable devastation in the name of their religion.Thoroughly recommend this book to anybody who wants to get a handle on "the muslim situation"

Good posts Simon, I cannot believe you got down votes, there must be some muslim on here or some poor soul who does not understand that islam is a religion and is a belief system that mandates warfare against unbelievers for the purpose for establishing a societal model that is absolutely incompatible with Western society.
For this reason it should be challenged wherever it takes root.

Wow! Why is europe so intent on kissing the mohammedans collective ass?
Because there is a tsunami of Saudi money available for all of the termites of society who are prepared to do so.

What is the biggest problem with the JWS religion or the Watchtower Corporation from a sociological and theological perspective ?
by Finkelstein inmany have spent years associated with jws religion and having eventually left it for numerous reasons but if you were to directly pinpoint a source of the problem with this religious organization what would it be ?.
in my personal viewpoint it would have be the core operation of literature proliferation and other products associated with the wts.
corporation.. once you think about it everything is focused around the operation of the wts publishing house, its distribution and circulation of its published goods.
